UPCOMING EVENTS & OPPORTUNITIES

Video Game Repair Workshop

Forty million tons of electronic waste is generated every year. That’s like throwing away 800 game consoles every second. Join Forever Gaming and the DIY Society for an evening workshop in the CRI Makerspace as we counteract throwaway culture by rescuing some vintage gaming hardware and controllers.

Learn how to replace a 72-pin connector on the NES. Go hands-on with controller repairs. Become a pro yourself. Once you see how easy and affordable these repairs are, you’ll never throw away another game controller again, which is good for your wallet and the environment…and for game collectors in the future!

The workshop will be on Monday, June 19th from 7-9pm at the Navigate Makerspace at CRI. Register now for this free event!

Join Navigate for an upcoming Mentorship Speed-Dating Workshop for aspiring entrepreneurs! This fun and fast-paced workshop will be on Wednesday June 28th from 6-8 pm at the Centre for Research and Innovation. It will be a hybrid event, with most folks in the room but a few mentors and entrepreneurs joining virtually.

During the workshop, you will have a chance to speak one-on-one with a group of knowledgeable mentors to pick their brains while building a network and acquiring valuable knowledge for your start-up. Light refreshments will be provided. Register today!
